The eaglets have discovered the edge of the nest and have more than one person clicking, shooing, or blowing to get them back towards the center. Watcher Aunt Fish wrote this poem in 2012 and gave us permission to share it.
TEASING DECORAH CHATTERS
Hey, eaglets, let's make the chatters crazy!
There's a great camera view of us today.
Stand right at the very edge of the nest,
Then get yourself ready to play.
Here comes the wind, do some preening,
Don't let on that your balance is fine.
Spread those wings, take a big leap,
You're going to blow their minds!
Maybe we should only go one at a time,
We don't want to cause too much stress.
But to add to the fun, let's land on each other,
Then they really will be a mess!
SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Thanks for letting us share this poem, Aunt Fish!
