Bald eagles generally fledge between 75 and 81 days of age. For us, 40 days marks the halfway point. The eaglets have reached 75 to 80% of their adult weight and are preparing for life outside the nest. Standing, walking, and wingercizing help build the muscle and coordination necessary to take flight...even if we wouldn't mind them in the nest just a little longer!
